Pet Licenses

The City of Albuquerque requires that you license your pet annually. You have 30 days from the time your pet receives its rabies vaccination to purchase the license. The cost for a one year license is $6. Proof of sterilization and microchip is required.

You may get your pets vaccinated at any veterinarian’s office or at Albuquerque Animal Shelters

Eastside Animal Shelter 8920 Lomas NE (enter through the north doors)
Westside Animal Shelter 11800 Sunset Gardens (go to the Intake door)
Times: every Wednesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
